McNeil House is ideally situated being in the quiet suburb of Murrayfield, yet being within 15 minutes of Edinburgh airport, Haymarket railway station and the centre of town.

Day visitors are welcome to study in our quiet room or meet with friends in the lounge or garden. If meals are required, arrangements can be made in advance.

McNeil House offers four twin-bedded rooms, all with ensuite facilities and the downstairs rooms have doors opening onto the garden. The shared spaces include; a quiet room for prayer and study with a large selection of Christian Science resource books and literature, a light-filled and spacious lounge and dining room, a terrace patio with balcony and a large private garden. Parking is available within the grounds as well as free on-street parking. There is a lift and excellent WiFi.

How to find us
By Road from the west, travel along the M8, and then turn left onto the city by-pass. Continue for 1.5 miles along the by-pass to its end, and then turn right along the A8 towards the city centre. After passing the Zoo, turn left into Ellersly Road, and then left again into Kinellen Road. McNeil House is on the left after about 50 metres.
From the north, cross the Forth Road Bridge, and continue towards Edinburgh for about five miles. On reaching Barnton Roundabout, go straight ahead, through the traffic lights, then take the first right, over Drumbrae to Corstorphine Road then left to onto Ellersly Road, then as indicated above.
For any other route, it is simplest to follow the by-pass round to the west of the city, and then follow the route in along the A8 as above.
By Air, fly to Edinburgh airport and McNeil House is a short taxi ride away. Check Edinburgh Airport’s website for up-to-date public transport information and other details.
For Rail users, Haymarket railway station is close by. Railway timetables can be found at ScotRail’s website. Buses 12, 26, 31 and 86 to and from Edinburgh city centre pass close by.
